From Sugarcane
to Oak Barrels

In Türkiye, we proudly distribute two of Diageo's international rum brands: Captain Morgan and Zacapa.

Rum's story begins in the sun-drenched fields of sugarcane. Its production starts with sugarcane juice, molasses, and vinasse (a byproduct of distillation), which are blended with water to create a mash. This mash is then fermented for 48 hours to 5 days, distilled, and left to mature in oak barrels. Once aged and filtered, rum is ready to be served. Traditionally crafted in regions where sugarcane grows in abundance, rum has its origins in Central America, Latin America, and the Caribbean Islands.
